P8171566The old Brookworth Farm was purchased recently.  The new owners are restoring the old stone work on the house and what is left of the barn.  I took a snap of the back of the barn, all crooked and rickety before it changes.

Picnicing by the river…  but lacking a breeze that would make it a more comfortable day.  After many days of rain and cooler weather, we are finally experiencing more typical August temperatures.

William Pen arrived in America by way of New Castle, DE.  A charming little town that we have the habit of visiting in extreme weather – either too hot or too cold to really savor the walk through the cobble stone streets.
