July 2010

It takes a real scorcher to keep us from being in the garden in the morning.

A little music.  A tasty breakfast.  The Sunday paper.  And spectacles such as this.

I always have high expectations for summer.  It probably started when I was in school and these 90 precious days represented a totally different lifestyle.  Unlike any other season, I always feel the clock ticking during summer and the days passing by far too quickly.

Being the middle of July, we must be half way through.  Never mind that summer officially starts on 6/21.  Or that the days start getting shorter on that day as well.  As summers go, it’s been a good one so far.  It’s been sunny and warm.  A little rain.  A little humidity.  But decent weather for swimming, picnics and growing tomatoes.  The summer things I love.
